Can we get a WOLFPACK!!!! Thanks to everyone who came out last night for the football game. In 8th grade football, the Trent Timberwolves played their rivals, the Stafford Spartans at Lone Star HS. Trent won the game 40-6 behind dominant performances from both the offense and defense. Trent will play Pioneer next Tuesday at Wakeland HS to see who goes to the District championship.

Do you ever find yourself correcting the spelling of others? Does the thought of a misspelled word make you cringe? If so, you should consider entering the Trent Spelling Bee! Stop by Ms. Basham's room, C102, before or after school tomorrow, October 28th for an informational meeting. Hope to see you there! Last night your Trent 7th Football Timberwolves took on their rival, the Spartans of Stafford. The Navy team rolled out against a determined Stafford team and fell behind early with a score of 7 to 0. The Wolf Pack would manage to score and head into half trailing 7 to 6. The Navy team came out the 2nd half and never looked back with consecutive offensive touchdowns. The Navy team would get the first ever win against Stafford with a final score of 20 to 7. The red team would battle next against the toughest test of the year in the Spartan A team. Stafford would find the end zone first after a few trick plays. The Timberwolves would answer with a 70 yard kickoff return to bring the score 8 to 6 in the 2nd quarter. In the end the divisional Champion Spartans would have to use every special play they had in the book to overcome the determined Timberwolves. Come out next week for the last game of the year against the Clark Cougars. It is time for Lunch Bunch again! And in honor of October, we are celebrating the father of mystery, Edgar Allen Poe. The Navy team came out with an aggressive first play score and a defensive stand. The Navy team continued to play good football but was not able to find the end zone again and fell with a score of 18 to 0. The Trent Red team took the field next against a hungry Pearson A team. The Timberwolves found the end zone first with a 6o yard touchdown run. The Patriots would answer with a 7 minute drive to make the score 8 to 6. Trent would add on a field goal before the half making it an 11 to 6 game. Trent came out the 2nd half and continued to find the end zone while denying the Patriots any more scores. Congratulations to the Trent 7th grade Football A team on their 2nd victory of the year. Come out next week as the Timberwolves face off against their rival the Stafford Spartans. 7th Grade Volleyball demonstrated the true meaning of "Strengthening the Pack" last night, and brought home a WIN against Lewisville ISD. They dominated on the court and left the gyms walls rattling with school spirit! We are so proud of our Wolves, and we hope to see you at our home game against Staley next Thursday! Trent's first food drive - benefiting the Frisco Family Services - has come to an end. Thank you to all that donated! The tally has been completed and 6th grade has been crowned Food Drive Champs! The totals are as follows: 6th Grade - 589 items. 7th Grade - 169 Items. Trent Teachers - 141 Items. and 8th Grade: 65 Items. Congratulations, 6th grade! Last night the Trent 7th grade football team travelled to Frisco High to take on the Cyclones of Cobb. The Navy team would manage to score only once against the high powered cyclone team and would end up falling with a score of 38 to 6. The Red team would take the field against a very tough Cobb A team that had not allowed a point all year. The Cyclones would take control of the game early and score 3 times early in the game. The Red team Timberwolves would not give up and end up scoring for the first time against the vaunted Cobb defense. In the end the Cyclones would win the game with a score of 38 to 6. Come out next week to Frisco High as the Wolf Pack battles against the Hunt Huskies. Are you creative? Do you like puzzles? Are you into science? Then you are just right for Destination Imagination. There will be an awareness meeting for parents and students tomorrow night at 6:00 in the Trent Library where you can learn all about this amazing opportunity.
Remember students, you will go to Wolf Den time earlier in the day for a presentation. Please report to your Wolf Den class after the end of 3rd period today!!! Last night your Trent 7th grade Football team took on the Griffin Gators. The Navy team fell behind early with a score of 22 to 0 at half. The Timberwolves would come out the 2nd half and battle back in a more competitive game and manage to score a touchdown late in the 4th quarter. In the end the Gators overtook the Navy team with a final score of Gators 22 and Timberwolves 6. Following the Navy game your Timberwolves Red team squared off against the Gators of Griffin. The Gators would score early and take advantage of Red team mistakes to lead at half with a score of 22 to 0. In the 2nd half your Red team would have their best defensive performance of the year against a tough Griffin team. Unfortunately the Trent Offense was unable to put points on the board and your Trent Timberwolves 7th grade Red team fell with a score of 28 to 0. Come out next week as the Trent 7th grade football team battles against the Cyclones of Cobb at Frisco High School. Students, please remember that when you attend an after school event - football, volleyball, concerts, etc., you must be in school dress code, even when the event is held at another campus. Even if you are in attendance with your parents, you must be in dress code. Students not in dress code will have to leave the event and can't return until they are in Trent dress code. |
